Eco-friendly blinds DERSCHUTZ, Providing Solutions Suitable for World-Renowned Architects and Buildings

German Premium Reflective Transparent Blinds by MultiFilm DERSCHUTZ are Gaining Attention.

A representative from DERSCHUTZ commented, “We are providing solutions that enhance the beauty and value of architecture, fitting for world-renowned architects and buildings, perfectly implementing the hybrid blind functions of insulation, glare reduction, and privacy protection.”

MultiFilm DERSCHUTZ has been applied in the Fraunhofer Virtual Engineering Research Center in Stuttgart, Germany. This project is a creation of UN Studio, led by the world-famous architect Ben van Berkel from the Netherlands.

UN Studio is globally renowned for its unique design approach derived from geometry, nature, music, and mathematics, participating in the design of numerous buildings worldwide, including the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Germany and Erasmus Bridge in Rotterdam, Netherlands.

Recently, their interest in Korea has increased, participating in many projects. Starting with the Galleria Department Store in Apgujeong in 2003, they have worked on projects like the Suwon and Daegu I’Park, Eunma Apartments, and have been selected for conceptual design projects like the Republic of Korea National Football Center, Shinbanpo 15th Complex, and Galhyeon 1st District Reconstruction, as well as the Chungnam Art Museum.

The Virtual Engineering Research Center building is equipped with futuristic labs and office spaces, boasting a modern working environment. The building’s exterior is striking, implementing a future-oriented design and enhancing natural light and design elements through numerous windows.

MultiFilm DERSCHUTZ installed 250 motorized film roller blinds to meet the architect’s requirements. Special ceiling profiles were made for direct ceiling installation without a headbox, and a glare protection system was operated through BUS control. They equipped the façade with unobtrusive DERSCHUTZ 7% MultiFilm and motorized blind systems for visual uniformity.

Jeong-hye Bae, the representative of DERSCHUTZ, said, “We are providing optimal spaces with clear visibility, glare prevention, comfortable lighting, and insulation functions, suitable for internationally renowned buildings both in Korea and abroad.”

Bae also mentioned, “We are continuously working on projects with top architects in Korea, planning to sequentially proceed with projects that blend top design with the aesthetic aspects of architecture, not just in terms of thermal insulation performance.”
